Reel Recycling

Have an old worn or broken reel that's not quite worth putting money into? With reels in the $40-80 range these days being much higher quality than they used to be, it's hard to justify spending money to repair or even service them. If that's the case, please let me recycle them instead of you throwing them away! That way they have a second chance at life or at the very least, they may be parts donors to repair other reels to help keep more reels on the water and out of landfills!

If you are local in the greater Seattle area, I'm happy to pick up reels for recycling if we can arrange a convenient meet for both of us. Otherwise, I'm also happy to pay shipping if you are willing to ship the reel(s) to me! Please fill out the form below and I will respond as quickly as I can!

Thank you for considering donating/recycling instead of contributing to filling up landfills more and more with used/broken reels! My goal is to help reduce the amount of waste from the fishing community by reviving donated/recycled reels or using their parts to help repair other reels. We live in such an 'instant gratification' society these days that it's so easy to just toss something away and go get a new one. That just creates an immense amount of waste! So thank you again for considering donating/recycling your old broken/used reels!

If you have working reels or gear that you would like to donate to a local group that does awesome work for kids in the fishing community, please check out Rods and Reels in Need on Facebook! They are local here in the Pacific Northwest and have multiple locations to drop things off at.

I do also purchase reels! If you have a reel that you'd like to sell, please use the same contact form below and include that in the message! Please keep in mind that I am a business so I will not offer retail for used or even un-used reels. Don't take it as an insult, I just have to be able to make money on any reel I purchase!
